Although the word "pedic" has become associated with tempur pedic matresses, that's just because of the massive marketing that Tempur Pedic has done over the years. However, matresses like the Royal Pedic have the word "pedic" in their names but aren't made from tempur pedic material. "Pedic" is really intended to suggest that a matress is good for your back and is derived from the word "orthopedic". So when you see a matress with the word "pedic" in the name, don't assume it's a memory foam matress.
