Temperpedic matresses

Now that I think about, I think the temper pedic material originated with NASA. So I'm not sure why just one company sold these matresses for so long. I don't see how they could have had a patent, unless maybe they licensed the patent from NASA. At any rate, there's been an explosion of temperpedic matress manufacturers and sellers now.
