Visco elastic matress

A visco elastic matress is a memory foam matress. Also often called a tempur pedic matress, although Tempur Pedic is actually the name of the company that first started selling them. Visco elastic memory foam "remembers" its orginal shape, so it retains its shape and doesn't develop ruts or grooves like spring matresses do. Not that they never wear out, but they keep their shape much longer than most inner spring matresses.
They also shape themselves to your body when you lay on them than a spring matress does. This is what is supposed to make them more comfortable and better for your back. For some people, this works great, but not for everyone.
