Buying a matress

There are really 2 facets to buying a matress.
1. You have to select the right type of matress. This includes size and firmness. Size is pretty easy to figure out, but firmness isn't at all. You should lay on the matresses in the store for several minutes to try and get a good feel, but you can't really know what it's like to sleep on them night after night until you do it for months. My main suggestion is to not get anything extremely firm or extremely soft.
2. You have to get the best price. First, this involves looking at different stores. But second, what most people don't know, is that you can negotiate the price with the salesman. It's very similar to buying a car, so don't pay the full price they ask.
